Choir Concert Concert outdoor concert

The Maryville College Concert Choir and small ensembles Off Kilter, Lads and Lassies will present their “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” concert at the Amphitheater on the World’s Fair Site on Sunday, April 18 at 6:00 pm. Directors are Stacey Murphy Wilner, director of choral activities and associate director Alan Eleazer, assisted by accompanists Chase Hatmaker and Kate Wogoman, and choir assistant Hannah White Strong. Guest instrumentalist will be percussionist Amber Nejme-Hatmaker.

The concert will feature selections that have proven inspiring to the students during the challenges that Covid safety measures have placed on choristers world-wide. The students in the choirs will be distanced 8 feet and will wear masks designed specifically for singing. Selections to be presented include “Unclouded Day” arr. Shawn Kirchner, “How can I keep from singing?” by Sarah Quartel, “I Will Arise and Go” by Shawn Kirchner and “Hard Times” Stephen Foster/arr. Nick Johnson.

Social distancing and masks are required for attendees, as well as for performing students and working staff. Please bring a printed ticket or have your E-Tix available upon arrival. You will not be allotted entry to this event without proof of purchase due to a restricted number of seats available abiding by COVID-19 regulations in Knox County.

Tickets will be sold only in pairs due to social distancing seating restrictions.

Donations may be made through the ticketing system and those who donate will receive a CD of the concert.

Live Stream Tickets:

Tickets are available for live streaming if in person tickets are sold out or you would rather watch from home. Live stream tickets are $10. Please use the ticket link to purchase.
