Maryville College senior Alicia Dobbs ’22 will present a recital, titled “The Journey,” on Thurs., Sept. 30 at 6 p.m.

The recital will be held in the Clayton Center for the Arts’ Harold and Jean Lambert Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for admission. Please note that tickets are limited and available on a first come, first-served basis.  Masks are required indoors.

The program will include the following selections: “Fantasia 6” by Georg Philipp Telemann, “Romance” by Philippe Gaubert and “Suite Modale” by Ernest Bloch.

Chase Hatmaker ’14 will serve as the accompanist.

“These pieces make me feel as if I’m on a journey to find whatever answers I’ve been looking for, and it ends perfectly with the resolution that we have all been waiting for,” Dobbs said. “I hope I can portray these feelings of searching and resolution to you through my performance!”

Dobbs, a music education major from Knoxville, is a 2014 graduate of Halls High School. Dobbs is the daughter of Kathie Hall and Ryan Dobbs, Sr.
