We Shall Overcome
when: Sat, January 19, 2013
where: Ronald And Lynda Nutt Theatre
time: Multiple Times Available
“We Shall Overcome” is a 90-minute musical presentation that addresses current issues of apathy and misinformation regarding the Civil Rights Movement.   The story follows a classroom of multicultural youth who have little appreciation for the sacrifices and tireless work of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the many unsung heroes of the struggle for equality.  They find themselves whisked back in time to places not so distant to experience sit-ins, marches,
and riots.  These transformative encounters give context for the celebration of life, liberty, and non-violent protest.

Adults: $22
Seniors: $15
Students: $10
